Details
This 5300 Trailcraft is now on the market. This boat has been in the same family all it's life and will be polished, detailed in the coming days and ready for the new family to enjoy. This boat also comes with it's registered Dunbier trailer and the rare opportunity of taking over the current secure undercover drystack berth at Queenscliff Harbour as well. More photos will be uploaded once annual works are complete.
The 5300 Trailcraft Sports Cab is very versatile being a great family boat, a top fishing boat and just at home with a bit of diving and swimming.
The cabin area gives you cover and dry storage from the elements, while there is a reasonable amount of comfort up front with the twin V berths. The open access to the cab area from the helm gives it that roomy feeling and the height also allows you to sit upright once in the cabin. There is plenty of storage space for a boat of this size under the cushions where you can keep a bit of food and clothing for an extra day or so on the water. The two swivel helm seats are box mounted with space under the seat as storage.
The bimini cover and an overhead foldable rocket launcher provides good shade from the sun, protection from cold winds and keeps rain and spray off you while in the cab or driving. There's plenty of room in the cockpit area too, be it for a few dive tanks and gear, rubber tube or just a few more people with fold down seats to either side and deep side pockets giving you essential storage space and a central storage box fixed against the inside transom and a small bait board is also mounted on the transom.
The walk-through transom door and fold-down ladder makes it easy to get in and out of the boat from the duck board into the back deck, and the ladder itself is superb with a couple of flat steps and a frame that's angled out. With the ladder unit dropping well down into the water you'll find it a breeze to get in and out for swimming, and just as easy when you're loading the boat at home and need to get in and out.
The fully sealed floor which prevents water coming in with it's airtight chamber is a great safety feature whilst the closing scuppers are located in either corner of the boat to let any water out that finds its way into the boat, and they allow the deck to drain when washing it down.
